2. I'm gonna wait until we see a trailer for 2.0 before I start hypothisizing who or what that giant on the Moon is. I'm not gonna read too much into what can be seen on the camrip cause the quality image reduces the...well...image quality. I have to say the most interesting idea put forth is it being the Third Angel but aren't the Angels numbered in the order in which they appear? I'm still standing by my belief that the Giant is Eva 06 without its mechanical elements placed on. Remember, when we see the hands of Eva 01 after burning its hands with Shamshel, the hands are much MUCH whiter than they were in the original series.
Perhaps Rei is the Third Angel now.

Oh well.....give me a 2.0 trailer!

Just to put the "camrip is pretty good" comments into perspective, and to re-emphasize the topic of this thread.

If you can't wait until the end of April, and need to see (the top version of) Rebuild to get your fix, then go for it. But, coming from someone who has seen the camrip AND the movie in the theatres, if you can wait until April/May for the HQ release with 6.1 surround, then you will NOT regret it.

It's been forever since I actually had to load subs, so this works WITH the cam rip or so? Sorry, it really has been years. Also, are there any working links for this in a direct download, or rapidshare (split)? I'm behind a dreaded university connection and if I so much as open a bittorent client they'll burst through my window and black-bag me a la V for Vendetta. Still fast, though.

Like most of you I'll buy the product on release but until then, yeah, can't wait. So if there's a version with English subs in or a way I could just use those subs and synch them up with a video? A PM or something would be great if you're worried about bandwidth, and I'm sorry to make a request like this, but it does happen I suppose. Normally I'm pretty resourceful but, again, black-bagging doesn't sound too great right now.

Thanks for your time, even if only reading this and the inevitable "against rules" post that is likely to follow, and I've been away for a bit but I'll try and remedy that once my time frees up a bit.

i just saw the full movie, it was frigging awesome! jeez the frigging last angel they fought was way stronger than before, it was freaky how powerfule it was. This probably means that we can expect a zeruel on steroids. well just so u guys know, full subbed movie is available for direct download at www.da-anime.org it is in the oav section and in search just put evangelion.

one thing i noticed is that Shinji doesnt act like such a wimp anymore, maybe a little more male hormone there.

I hope all the other movies are just as good as this one, see ya'll later.

I watched a fansub of it.

I definitely liked it more than the original series, they really made it much more serious. I still like Sadamoto's vision more, but this is nice.

I loved certain moments. Rei's smile was PERFECT, in every way, and the shot of her standing in front of the moon.... The original shot looked a lil off, due to the art style. But this one was perfect. Also, is it just me, or does the balance of the chars appearance look much better? They don't look too young or too old, just right. Like actual young adults. The original always made them look kinda squatty it seemed, at least in early eps.

Or maybe it's just been a while.

Anyway, much nicer artwork, and zippier animation. I like how they have done the story a LIL differently than the original, such as SPOILER hearing the conversation about Gendou's children's names.
