It’s about 19cm long and based on the pictures, it looks fairly detailed. Release date is set for April and will run 4725 yen (including tax).

The first stage, “Angel Attack”, is free as a preview and the 2nd stage, “Reunion”, is the release for this week.

VIZ has been doing digital releases on many of their manga properties since they’ve released their manga reading app for iOS last November, this is the first digital release for the Evangelion manga by VIZ. Though most of their digital releases occur monthly and by volume, Evangelion’s is weekly by stages.

The application comes bundled with wallpapers, ringtones/alerts, an icon theme, clock and battery widgets, an Evangelion news widget, Evangelion themed twitter application and contacts (looks like a Nerv ID). There are also a customized Android market for Evangelion apps. It’s available on the market for around $4.50 (USD).

I haven’t downloaded it for my phone but based on screenshots, the majority of the applications seem to be Japanese. The clock and battery widgets look pretty cool though.

Harajuku, a neighborhood in Tokyo known as the fashion capital of the world, will be the site of a permanent Evangelion Store that will open this Fall. Not much information is given about the store, but the announcement says there will be unique items for sale and it will be a place where special events will be held.

Evangelion: Sound Impact, a music-rhythm based game, will be released in Japan on September 29th and come in three different packages. The video game will feature music from the Rebuild of Evangelion (New Movie Edition) film teratology, remixed by Silent Hill composer Akira Yamaoka. The game is being produced by Goichi “Suda51″ Suda, director of Killer7 and No More Heroes.

Most of this stuff can be seen over at the Radio EVA website, but the Revelations/ store in the Harajuku district of Tokyo (a large shopping district often referred to as the fashion capital of the world) has put up a blog to show pictures of the store. You can also buy stuff from their website.

A lot of the merchandise seem like typical Radio EVA stuff: bags, shoes, clothing that look fairly normal but have Evangelion related imagery embedded somewhere in them. Other stuff is more blatant. The “Revelations/” store in Harajuku does collaborative work with studios and artists, in an attempt to fuse everyday clothes with subcultures, in this case, Evangelion.

Kaworu is wearing his redesigned Rebuild plugsuit, and sits atop a stone bust of the Mark 6 Evangelion, which appears in Evangelion 2.0: You Can (not) Advance.

The series so far has included Rei atop Unit-00, Asuka atop Unit-02, and Mari wearing her pink plugsuit atop Beast mode Unit-02. There has also been a 1/6 scale Misato released, but it is unclear whether or not this figure is included in the same series.

The Kaworu figure is set for release in October this year, and will retail for approximately ¥6,800.

It will have a release date somewhere during the summer of 2011. Ironically, these images may give us a better glimpse into what Mark 6 looks like in general than what we saw at the end of 2.0 and the 3.0 preview.

Although it says this is an “HD Clip”, the only available resolutions (at the time of this post) are 240p and 360p. At least we get to hear some more of the English dub.

Other online retailers also had their release dates changed so if you’ve pre-ordered, don’t expect it to ship until April 5th (-ish).

It’s labeled OFFICIAL REGULAR COFFEE “SPECIAL STRONG BLEND”, and it’s Nerv’s official coffee. Originally sold earlier this May at Hakone during the screening of Evangelion 2.22, UCC decided to bring it back by popular demand. They come as powder or unground beans in a fancy silver or black can and costs about 2,000 yen.

No idea if the coffee is any good, although it does mention that it has a 9 month expiration date. At least the can looks nice and can be used to store stuff after you’ve drank all the coffee.
